This is my blog. I will be using it to tell everybody about our(Chelsea and I) drive up to Alaska and our new lives in the great white north. It might make you laugh, it might make you cry, and it will surely make you jealous about how awesome we are! Enjoy.

Cache Creek to Prince George, BC
Well, we finally felt like we are driving the AlCan. When we woke up this morning we were greeted to a light dusting of snow on the ground and much colder temperatures. We headed out the door at 9:30 and The driving conditions were not all that bad. It continued to snow for about 1.5 hours but it was very light. There was snow on the highway but enough cars had already driven it to make pretty clear tracks that were not slick. Once we got about 3 hours north of cache creek it was completely dry. We made our lunch stop today in Quesnel(kwen-el) BC. In the mile post we had read about some of the lovely tourist attractions of this small river town and the one that really caught our eye was the historic museum, featuring a haunted doll named Mandy. The museum was pretty cool, and Mandy did not disappoint(at least not in being really creepy). Quesnel sits on the banks of two rivers(the Quesnel meeting the Fraser) and they have a really nice trail system following the banks so we decided to drive to one of the parks and have lunch and go for a walk. By now it was a pretty nice day which made the walk really nice(not to mention being out of the car is always nice). On our way out of town we made a quick stop to take a picture in front of the worlds largest gold pan(quesnel is the 'gold pan city'). The day kept getting nicer and nicer which made the drive really quite enjoyable. We saw a couple of moose crossing signs, but unfortunately no moose. Once we pulled into Prince George, things kinda went down hill...the room we got was pretty nice, but then we spent about 30 minutes looking for a nice cheap place to eat. We ended up settling on Canadas version of Applebees.
